Santa Ana · IOP
For Santa Ana adults, our Intensive Outpatient Program is built around the constraint that defines daily life in this city: a job and a family that cannot be put on hold. IOP delivers about nine hours of structured treatment a week across three evening sessions, so you keep working, parenting, and living at home while you get real clinical support.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is 3 evenings per week, 9 hours total — built to fit around work, school, or caregiving. It runs 3 evenings/week, ~9 hours total, and is one of four levels of care we offer along a continuum from full-day PHP down to weekly aftercare.
Santa Ana is the dense urban heart of Orange County, with a younger, heavily bilingual, working-to-middle-class population whose lives run on hourly and shift schedules rather than a nine-to-five suburban routine. Many of the residents we see commute the I-5 corridor for work near the Civic Center or downtown — and the reverse drive south to our Laguna Hills facility is only about 22 minutes against traffic, which makes attending three evenings a week genuinely realistic. For those whose shifts or caregiving make even that drive unpredictable, we point toward Virtual IOP so distance never becomes the reason treatment stops.
IOP at Manifest pairs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills groups with process groups and weekly individual therapy, plus psychiatric medication management when it is part of the plan. The evening format is deliberate: it preserves the workday and keeps treatment compatible with the realities of an hourly job, a class schedule at Santa Ana College, or caring for children and aging parents at home.
Adults from Santa Ana often arrive at IOP after weekly therapy has plateaued, or after a stressful stretch — financial strain, a job change, a family crisis — has pushed anxiety or depression past what they can manage alone. Because the city has one of the largest Spanish-speaking communities in the region, we ask about language and cultural preferences at intake and plan care around them; stigma and the pull to "just handle it" can run deep, and the group setting helps by showing that struggling does not mean failing.
When alcohol or substance use has wrapped itself around the mental-health condition, IOP holds both inside one treatment plan run by a single clinical team, instead of bouncing you between a therapist and a separate substance-use program. Because IOP is community-based care rather than a detox bed, any supervised withdrawal happens first through a referral we arrange, and you step into IOP once that is behind you. Insurance verification is free and confidential, no referral is required to begin, and we explain what you can expect to owe before you commit, because affordability is a real concern for many Santa Ana households.

Manifest is an outpatient program — not a medical detox or residential facility; when supervised withdrawal is needed first, we coordinate a referral. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is part of a connected continuum of care. Many adults move between levels as their needs change — stepping up to IOP from weekly therapy, or stepping down to it after a more intensive level.
