Getting started is one phone call
We've designed admissions to remove friction at the worst possible moment — when you've decided to call but everything is hard. One call, plain language, no insurance acrobatics required up front.
What happens when you call
- 20-minute conversation. We listen first. What brought you here, what's been tried, what you're hoping for. No diagnostic intake yet — just a conversation.
- Insurance verification. If you have insurance, we verify benefits for you. You don't need to call your carrier. This usually takes hours, not days. See insurance details.
- Clinical assessment. A clinician meets with you (in person or via secure video) for a 60–90 minute assessment. We confirm the right level of care and write the initial treatment plan.
- Start. Most people start within 1–3 business days of their first call. We tell you exactly what to bring and what to expect on day one — see What to expect.
Common questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You can call us directly. We work with referring therapists, primary care, EAPs, and hospitals — but a referral is never required.
Will my employer or anyone find out?
Our communication with you, your records, and the fact of your treatment are confidential under HIPAA and (for substance use records) 42 CFR Part 2. We only release information to a third party with your written consent.
What if I can't afford treatment?
Call us anyway. We will tell you what we can offer — including out-of-network options, payment plans, and where to look if we aren't the right fit financially.
What if I'm not sure I need this?
You don't have to commit to anything by calling. People often call to think out loud with someone who knows the landscape.
