Therapy
Psychiatric evaluation and prescribing by a psychiatrist or psychiatric NP.
Medication management is psychiatric evaluation and prescribing by a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, used as one tool within an overall treatment plan.
Medication is one tool of several — we do not over-medicate, and we treat prescribing as part of an integrated plan rather than a stand-alone solution. A psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner evaluates symptoms, history, and goals, then recommends and adjusts medication with you.
A structured program means closer contact than once-monthly appointments: during a medication trial or transition we can see you weekly or bi-weekly, which is especially important for bipolar disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and benzodiazepine tapers. We coordinate with any outside prescriber you already have.
