Trauma-focused CBT is a structured, evidence-based therapy that processes the trauma narrative and works on the cognitive "stuck points" that maintain PTSD.

About Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-focused CBT is one of the two front-line therapies for PTSD recommended in major clinical guidelines. It combines cognitive work on the beliefs that trauma leaves behind ("stuck points") with structured processing of the trauma narrative.

As with EMDR, we deliver it after stabilization, not before — building sleep, distress tolerance, and safety first. The choice between trauma-focused CBT and EMDR depends on your history and preference, and we match the approach to you.
